Since 2012, the Hispanic Health Coalition has supported students pursuing careers in health care by providing mentorship and financial support through its annual scholarship program. Since its inception, the program has continued to grow, reaching more students than ever.

Through the generosity and commitment of its donors, the coalition awarded 16 scholarships this year to outstanding students from high school, undergraduate and graduate programs - a record number of awards. This reflects both the exceptional talent of the recipients and the growing need for educational support within the community.

Isela Garcia, scholarship committee chair, shared her joy over the milestone.

"We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, guests and community partners for making this year's Scholarship Luncheon a success," Garcia said. "Because of your support, we are able to provide meaningful opportunities for the next generation of health care leaders."

This year's scholarship recipients represent the next generation of health care leaders, with many pursuing careers in nursing, medicine and public health. Their chosen paths reflect a shared commitment to serving their communities that continue to face significant barriers to quality health care. 

By investing in these students today, the Hispanic Health Coalition is helping build a stronger, more representative health care workforce for tomorrow.
