The impact across the community

WOW is so grateful for the funds we received at the annual Houston Hispanic Coalition Get Up! Get Moving! event . With these funds, we were able to purchase 3 brand new bikes that Wellness On Wheels will use for our Wednesday therapy bicycle rides. The group is growing in size so the purchase of these 3 bikes can help more students suffering with mental health challenges deal with their issues through nature therapy. Thank you again for your commitment in assisting our youth.

Yes. Free parking is available at or near the event venue. Parking locations and directions will be shared before the event, and accessible parking is available for guests who need it.

What health screenings will be available?

Attendees may have access to free health screenings such as blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, BMI, vision, and other preventive health services. Available screenings may vary each year based on participating healthcare providers and community partners.

Is there a cost to attend?

No. Get Up, Get Moving! is a free community event open to individuals and families.

Who can attend the event?

Everyone is welcome! The event is designed for people of all ages with activities, health resources, and educational opportunities for the entire family.

What activities will be offered?

Activities may include group fitness sessions, wellness demonstrations, children's activities, health education, community resources, and giveaways from participating organizations.
