Alexis Aguirre, B.A., is a marketing and communications coordinator in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where she supports more than 170 surgeons across multiple specialties. In this role, she develops communication and marketing initiatives that raise awareness of new advancements in surgical care, research and clinical trials, helping connect both health care providers and the community with new developments in the field of medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in health communication and public health from the University of Houston.

As a previous recipient of the Hispanic Health Coalition scholarship, she was recognized not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her dedication to uplifting her community. Now, she serves on the planning committee for our signature event programs and remains committed to championing for underserved communities.
