The Hispanic Health Coalition (HHC) is a founding member of Houston Communities for Safe Indoor Air (HCSIA). HHC has provided HCSIA with committee leadership and volunteers to assist with outreach, education and advocacy efforts to the Hispanic community for a safe indoor air policy.

In partnership with Houston Communities for Safe Indoor Air, the Hispanic Health Coalition is working to save lives in Houston by bringing awareness to the dangers of secondhand smoke. On June 3, 2006, over 200 participants walked at Spotts Park in support of a safe indoor air policy that protects workers and patrons from the deadly carcinogens that are emitted from secondhand smoke.
