Our mission is to advance the overall health of Houston's Hispanic community through education, advocacy, and research.
WHO WE ARE
The Hispanic Health Coalition is a non-profit organization established in 1996. Operating under a volunteer board, the Coalition has been a reliable source of information and voice for Houston’s Hispanic health issues and those addressing them. The Coalition consists of leaders from healthcare, education, social services, faith-based, business, and governmental organizations working with the Hispanic community. Our Coalition is committed to continue improving the health of the Hispanic community in the Greater Houston Area.
The Hispanic Health Coalition has been awarded a $40,000 grant from The HCHD Foundation Children’s Health Fund, a tri-party endowment between: Harris County, the Harris Health System, and the HCHD Foundation. The proceeds of this endowment support integrated health projects for children. The grant received is to support our Behavior Opportunities Uniting Nutrition, Counseling and Exercise (BOUNCE) program.
